Benjamin J. Denno

Vice President  and Co-Founder Mr. Denno has over 25 years experience in the leasing, finance and manufacturing industries. Before commencing with RCA, Mr. Denno established Equipment Financing & Leasing Corporation (EFLC) in 1990.  EFLC grew very successfully and in September 2001 formed a joint venture to establish RCA.  Mr. Denno was a leasing officer with Bank One prior to establishing EFLC and RCA.  Mr. Denno also held the position of Senior Business Consultant for the Small Business Administration and has always been an Entrepreneur.  He began his business career over 35 years ago by starting a number of small businesses ranging from an Export Company, Real Estate Development firm and the owner/operator of retail pharmacies several of which are still thriving today.  Mr. Denno earned an undergraduate degree in Business Management and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Wayne State University.

 

Anthony Albanese

Chief Operating Officer- Mr. Albanese has over 30 years experience in the equipment leasing and banking industries holding various senior level management positions with top industry leaders such as Whirlpool Leasing Services, Inc., Michigan National Leasing Corporation and Sterling Bank and Trust.  In 1996 Mr. Albanese co-founded a successful commercial bank and served as board member and President and Chief Operating Officer until his retirement in 2007.  Mr. Albanese earned an Associates degree in Business and a Bachelors degree in accounting from Detroit College of Business.

Mr. Albanese also served in the U. S. Army’s Military Intelligence branch with a tour of duty in Viet Nam.

 

Daniel Toma, CPA

Controller and Senior Leasing Officer-Mr. Toma has 16 years finance experience and 11 years with RCA. Having started with KPMG, a big four accounting firm, Mr. Toma focused on auditing large financial institutions and later served as a Director of Corporate Accounting at a Fortune 50 company, prior to arriving at RCA.

Mr. Toma earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Oakland University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1995.

 

Lisa Cavallaro

Operations and Systems Manager-Ms. Cavallaro has 15 years of experience in the leasing and lending industries  in operations, computer services, lease documentation and administration.  Ms. Cavallaro worked at Michigan National Bank and Bank of America Leasing before joining RCA. Ms. Cavallaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Madonna University.

 

Suresh Makam   

Vice President of Syndications and Manager of our Eastern Region-Mr. Makam has over 25 years experience in leasing and the financing of equipment, spending most of his career with Citi Capital/GE Capital managing a $2 billion portfolio of utility company service vehicles and other equipment.   Mr. Makam has been involved with unique leasing projects such as the financing of nuclear fuel rods for Nuclear power plants and rail spur leases to move coal from the mine to power plants.  At Citi, Mr. Makam managed relationships with over 50 banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions to buy, sell and participate in lease transactions.  Mr. Makam received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University and his MBA from Rutgers University.

Mr. Makam has been a presenter at the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association’s CFO Roundtable conference in 2007 and 2008 and is a presenter at the Annual Accountancy Conferences on Basic and Advanced Tax Leasing topics. 

 

Galen Kersten

Vice President of Sales, Great Lakes Region-Mr. Kersten has nearly 26 years of Commercial Leasing and Financing experience including over 18 years with RCA. Mr. Kersten is knowledgeable in a wide range of lease products and is a highly regarded program manager.  Prior to joining RCA, Mr. Kersten served as an officer at Comerica Leasing.  Mr. Kersten is a graduate of Albion College with a degree in Economics and Management.

 

Mark MacElroy

Vice President of Sales, Southeast Region-Mr. MacElroy has over 25 years of experience in the Equipment Finance and Leasing field and he has extensive experience with equipment finance and lease products. Mr. MacElroy’s broad equipment finance knowledge includes transportation, aircraft, material handling, construction and manufacturing equipment.  Prior to joining RCA, Mr. MacElroy served in equipment finance roles at Bank of America, SunTrust Bank and Mellon Bank.  Mr. MacElroy holds an undergraduate degree in business from The State University of New York and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The Pennsylvania State University. 

 

Barry Marks (RCA’s outside counsel)

Mr.  Marks is nationally recognized for his books, articles and speeches on equipment finance.  With over 30 years experience, Mr. Marks has represented lessors, lessees and lenders in financing over a billion dollars of equipment of all types and in syndications participations and other equipment transactions.

 

Valerie Pfieffer-Tax Manager

Ms. Pfeiffer is nationally known for her articles, presentations, and work with state tax officials and the Equipment Leasing and Financing Associations (“ELFA”) to bring about fair and uniform taxation.  In 2005 she received ELFA’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions to the industry and currently serves as Chair of ELFA’s State Government Relations Committee.  Previously, Ms. Pfeiffer served as Vice President –Tax Services at CIT for 20 years and was involved with all types of assets and finance structures.  Her first ten years of tax experience were with a Fortune 500 manufacturer.  For the last two years, Ms. Pfieffer has helped RCA and it’s clients comply with a myriad of state and local taxes.
